Born in Montevideo in 1954, with training in Architecture and Graphic Design, Brandt has been practicing Plastic Arts professionally since 1998 after joining the workshop of Maestro Guillermo Fernández.

Positioned in the River Plate pictorial scene, over the last 20 years he has held exhibitions and commercialized his work in Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Paris, Miami, Tel Aviv, Beirut, Madrid, Barcelona and London.
